Story
Lucy Stories was born from simple bedtime stories that I would tell my little girls to help them sleep. My youngest, a four-year-old named Vienna, decided that she wanted to tell me the stories. It quickly became clear to me that there is magic and brightness in the stories of young children, and I had to capture some of that magic before it was too late.
After recording several, I edited the first one, Lucy and the Bear, and sent it to my friend, Scott Wiser, who happens to be an animator and a director. The story captured his imagination and inspired him, and he offered his talents to help bring Lucy to life!
We submitted Lucy and the Bear to film festivals when our little Vienna was six. She was thrilled to see it play on the big screen in Chicago! She was almost as excited to see it as she was at the prospect of staying in a real hotel room!
As parents and filmmakers, our hope is that Lucy and the Bear will bring audiences everywhere as much joy and light and humor as it has to everyone we have privately screened it with.
